I graduated from the beautiful Somerset College, in 2010, with a Graphic Design BA(Hons). You can rest assured I have the qualification on paper, however these days qualifications mean very little. I was lucky enough to land my first design job at Noel Leeming, in New Zealand. Most working holiday visa holders get to pick fruit, where as I went from packing potatoes in Ruawai, to Design in Auckland! Now, in 2022, I have well over 5 years in-house graphic design experience; working for companies such as ToolStream, Hoare Lea, Ideal World, Mole Valley Farmers & Shearwell Data. Skateboarding since I was 11, I have always seen the world slightly differently to everyone else who isn't a skater. Skateboarding has taught me so much about life. One key factor is – persistence. Try, try and try again. Learn from mistakes and move forward. From skateboarding, I learnt to love art, design, music, construction, urban environments, filming and video editing (to name a few). With my love of skateboarding and filming, I launched a YouTube channel in 2015. This accidental hobbie of video creation transformed into helping SkateboardGB with content, appearing & filming for the FuelTV Bowlzilla coverage, interviewing for SkySports NZ, Covering Tjøme skate galla and helping with Betongpark promotional videos. I even won 'Best international Mullet'. Not your usual start up business story and exactly why it makes Sk8winemedia so unique, in a sea of average media production companies.
